Kia Ora all,
As you are aware, we are currently in Covid-19 Alert Level 2 until midnight Friday 14th August. After consulting with all four clubs involved in this weekend’s club finals and the Horowhenua Kapiti Rugby Football Union Board of Directors, a decision has been made for both the Ramsbotham Cup Premier and Bill Muir Cup finals to be played on Saturday 15th August if we remain in alert level 2 or move down to alert level 1.
Under alert level 2 guidelines, games can be played but there are to be no more than 100 people at a gathering including players, coaches etc. What this means for our club finals is that under level 2, there will be no spectators or crowds in attendance. If we move to level 1 all spectators will be able to attend. If we increase to level 3, all rugby will be cancelled.
Our Rasmbotham Cup Premier final will be live streamed by Oriana TV on our Facebook page, and will also be delayed coverage on Kordia TV, Freeview Channel 200. We hope this will allow the majority of supporters to still view the final.
Kick off time details will be released soon.
While we realise this may be disappointing for many people, the health of our whānau and community must be at the forefront of our minds. We ask that you stay safe, look after yourself and family and follow public health measures.
Kind Regards
Corey Kennett
Chief Executive Officer
