Horowhenua Kapiti Secondary School Girls managed to hold off Manawatu Secondary School Girls in a close battle where the lead changed many times. HK scoring in the last minute of the game to win 32-29. HK fullback Hayley Makinson crossed the line 3 times with her 3rd try giving the home team the lead just on full time. Horowhenua Kapiti Coaches Ryan Shelford and Michaela Tahere were very pleased with not only the win but also the future of Secondary School girls rugby.
“There are a lot of keen girls in the province and we can only grow from here” according to coach Shelford.
