This competition is being conducted by Air New Zealand, the NZRUand HKRFU
Air New Zealand are putting up a trip for two to the All Blacks v England Test match in England later in the year for the person in New Zealand that can kick the furthest.The competition is open to fans / amateur players (ie no one who is or has played professional rugby can enter) throughout New Zealand and is being conducted geographically within each of the 26 New Zealand Provincial Unions.
Searching for New Zealand’s Biggest Boot!
On Sunday 14 October, Air New Zealand will be hosting ‘The Biggest Boot’ competition where Air New Zealand will fly 26 of the nation’s biggest place-kickers to Christchurch where they will get to line up next to the all black Boeing 777-300 aircraft and compete to kick the 73m length of the aircraft – or further if they can!
‘The Biggest Boot’ competition will be held at Air New Zealand’s engineering base at Christchurch Airport and rugby fans will be given an opportunity to come and cheer along their provincial representatives. Air New Zealand will be bringing down a planeload of rugby-mad supporters on the all black 777-300 too, and by the end of the event, we will have crowned the winner of New Zealand’s Biggest Boot.
The winner of ‘The Biggest Boot’ competition will receive:
– Return Airfares for the winner plus a friend from New Zealand to London, departing in November and returning in December
– Accommodation for three nights in London on either a double or twin share basis
– Access to the All Blacks Captain’s training run at Twickenham the day before the test match (subject to availability)
– Two tickets to attend the New Zealand vs England Test Match at Twickenham on December 1st.
– Two Air New Zealand European Tour All Blacks Training shirts
To be the Horowhenua Kapiti’s representitive at the Biggest Boot Competition you must be 18 years plus, be available for Biggest Boot Finale on the 14th of October
Our Competition will be taking place at the Levin Domain on Saturday the 22nd of September
Qualifiers – 1pm
Final – 3.10pm (half time of the Heartland game)
